Om Puri and Ila Arun charm at London Film Festival : Om Puri and Ila Arun charmed on the red carpet at the premiere and photocall of their film, West is West, during 54th BFI London Film Festival at the Vue West End, London on October 19.
Arun looked gorgeous in her signature ethnic styling, while Puri looked dapper in Nehru jacket suits.
West Is West, a British comedy drama, is a sequel to the 1999 film East Is East.
The plot of the film, set in 1970s, is as follows:
Pakistani father George Khan (Om Puri) is worried that his youngest son is turning his back on his Pakistani heritage, and decides to take him on a visit to Pakistan.
Ayub Khan-Din scripted both the films.
Om Puri reprises his East is East role in the sequel. Ila Arun, who plays Om Puri's first wife Basheera Khan, did not feature in East is East.
The Andy DeEmmony helmed film had a special screening at Toronto Film Festival last month.
