Mallika Sherawat to dance in 'small screen reality show': The Hisss hysteria may have fizzled off in thin air, but Mallika Sherawat is now set to return on the small screen with a dance reality show.

If Sony has got Madhuri Dixit as a judge for the dance show Jhalak Dhikhla Ja, its rival channel Colors has roped in Mallika Sherawat for its upcoming show Chak Dhoom Dhoom for which auditions have already begun.

The participants of CDD are kids and this year they will contest in groups rather than individually.

Mallika will begin shooting for the show from December 14 onward. She is rumoured to be pocketing Rs. 45 lakh per episode.

Mallika plays an Obama election campaign volunteer Aretha Gupta in the film who falls for an African American conservative played by Brian White. There is strong buzz that the movie’s teaser will highlight Mallika’s sexy car-wash scene. Is the scene also the USP of the film?

The Bollywood connection in ‘Contract’ does not end with Minnisha though. Joining her will be Mallika Sherawat who will reportedly perform to an item number for the Ramachandra production. The producer candidly admits that he initially had actress Anushka Sharma in mind for Minnisha Lamba’s role in ‘Contract’. However, with things not working out between the crew and Anushka, the next best option was Minnisha.

With names like Arjun, Minnisha Lamba and Mallika Sherawat to boast of and a million dollar budget set aside for the film, ‘Contract’ sure sounds like a superhit in the making.

Mallika Sherawat inside the snake suit!: If you think that being an actor is easy, ask Mallika Sherawat what she had to go through while filming her latest film Hisss.

Since the siren plays a snakewoman in the film, she had to go through long sessions of make-up and of course slithering into an especially designed huge and heavy snake-suit that would render her immobile.

So once the make-up was on and she was inside the snake-suit, Mallika had to stay that way for hours, without even answering nature’s calls.

“Yes, it’s true that I had to sit for make-up for about six hours. I could also not simply slip out of the snake suit in between the shots. So, yes, I was not able to use the washroom for long hours,” say Mallika.

In hindsight, Mallika says all the effort she put in her role was worth it because the movie has shaped up very well.

Also starring Irrfan Khan and Divya Dutta, Hisss releases on October 22.

Mallika Sherawat prayers for 'Hisss' at the snake temple: Mallika Sherawat who plays a snake woman in her upcoming film Hisss, offered prayers at the famous Sree Nagaraja temple at Mannarasala in Alappuzha district, in Kerala, seeking divine blessings for the success of the upcoming movie.

"I have come here to give my respects to the snake god. It's after 24 years that a film on naag-naagin is coming up, so I prayed that the film does well," said Ms Sherawat.

The Bollywood actress reached here this morning from Mumbai and drove straight to the temple, the producer of the movie Govind Menon accompanied her to the temple. The Sree Nagaraja temple at Mannarasala was also one of the principal locations of the multi-lingual film.

Menon said that 'Hisss' produced under the banner of Split Image Pictures at a cost of Rs 30 crores, would be released worldwide in 2,200 screens on October 22. In India, the English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions of the film would be released on that day, while the Malayalam version would be released in Kerala on October 29.

Hisss is directed by Jennifer Lynch, and Mallika plays a half-woman, half-snake in the film. The film also stars Divya Dutta and Irrfan Khan.

Mallika, who is bubbling with excitement in the run-up to the film’s release on October 22, says so far she’s been keeping in touch with her fans through Twitter. But now, she’s looking forward to meet them personally.

“I am excited about meeting them (fans) and interacting with them,” says the siren who has been away in Los Angeles a long time for the post production of Hisss and the shooting of her first Hollywood film Politics of Love.

Mallika Sherawat will play again ‘Murder 2’!: Agreed she made news with her film Khwaish, but Mallika Sherawat became the hot property in Bollywood only after Murder. The film was an instant hit, and after that there was no looking back for the actress.

So, after six years, the plan for a sequel to Murder is on, and Mallika, who is in India for her film Hissss promotion and Double Dhamaal shoot, is reported to be visiting Bhatt’s office quite often. The actress is keen to be part of the sequel.

Now, that’s surprising because Mallika and Bhatts were not on talking terms ever since she took the credit for the success of Murder and told media that she is solely responsible for the movie being a hit. But last year the differences were sorted out between the two parties.

As Mukesh Bhatt tells a tabloid, “Mallika has been meeting us for the last few days. Discussions are on and she’s a strong contender.” However, earlier reports suggested that some newcomer will be signed opposite Emraan Hashmi.

The sequel will be helmed not by Anurag Basu but by Mohit Suri, who is like family to the Bhatts and has directed some of their recent films. Suri is busy finishing the script of Murder 2.
