Hrithik Roshan gives a few sensible words for Salman Khan: Salman Khan recently stirred a storm in a teacup by his acerbic comments on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his film Guzaarish.
Bhansali is a hurt man nowadays. At an award function recently Salman, his good friend, had made insulting remarks about the film-maker and his latest creation Guzaarish. Salman had called Bhansali an opportunist who makes film on disabled people to make money but doesn’t donate a dime for charity. He had even mocked Guzaarish and said that not even a macchhar (mosquito) went to see the film, while at the same time Sallu alluded to the super success of his own film Dabangg.
While Bhansali has chosen silence over retaliation, Hrithik Roshan, the lead star of Guzaarish, has jumped in for Bhansali’s defence. Despite Salman being many years senior, Hrithik has a few sensible words of advice for Khan.
“In my opinion a hero never gloats. When you are super successful...this is the time one should use to turn even enemies into friends...just give love, not laugh at others. By the time I finish this sentence, I have already forgiven his (Salman’s) words,” Hrithik is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Hrithik’s response is without rancour. Hope Salman would reply in the same vein.

Hrithik Roshan is looking forward to meet Barbara Mori
Hrithik Roshan is looking forward to meet Barbara Mori: Their much hyped film Kites may have gone down the plughole, but Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori have continued to remain in touch.
Not surprising then that Hrithik is looking forward to meet Barbara when he goes to the US with his family at the end of this month to ring in 2011. Yes, you read it right. Wife Sussanne and two kids will be with Hrithik for what would be a family holiday in Las Vegas.
And since Sussanne and Barbara are thick as thieves, they are most likely to be together for the biggest party of the year. Sussanne has in the past laughed off the rumours linking Hrithik with Barbara, and her friendship with the Mexican hottie has remained intact.
Hrithik too says he’s become indifferent to the rumours. So even as he admits that he might meet Barbara in Las Vegas, he’s unconcerned about the media raking up the rumours again.

When Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan met?
When Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan met?: Hrithik Roshan the dancing sensation of Bollywood has a distinct attraction for his senior Shahrukh Khan. It seems as if the two were really meant to be brothers as was depicted in the KJO flick ‘Khabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham’ a few years ago.
Recently when Shahrukh Khan wanted to see the Sanjay Leela Bhansali flick ‘Guzaarish’ at his place Mannat in Mumbai, he had got arrangements to see it with his family and friends. Hrithik Roshan who was quite unwell had stayed back home to relax even as his wife Sussanne went for the special screening at SRK’s place. Sussanne and Gauri, Hrithik’s and Shahrukh’s wives respectively are the best of friends and they always spend a lot of time whenever time permits.
But just after the film had started, there was a phone call from the big brother Shahrukh Khan to Hrithik Roshan, saying that he was very impressed with the latter’s work in the movie. SRK immediately asked Hrithik to be at his place so that they could have a one on one chat about the great role that Hrithik had portrayed as a paraplegic.
Now, as is well known, Hrithik just cannot say no to SRK. So out he popped from bed and rushed to Mannat forgetting all about his fever and stuff.
Well, reportedly the two discussed everything about portraying characters with chronic diseases on screen and since SRK had also portrayed the role of a mentally affected patient in KJO’S flick My Name Is Khan, he perfectly understood Hrithik’s character of Ethan in Guzaarish who was a paraplegic.
Well, what do we call it? Mutual understanding of one bro for another?

Hrithik Roshan as Hamlet and Aishwarya Rai as Ophelia for their next?
Hrithik Roshan as Hamlet and Aishwarya Rai as Ophelia for their next?: It’s a long-cherished desire of Vishal Bhardwaj to make a film with Aishwarya Rai.
But things couldn’t work out between the two in the past, and now after the release of Guzaarish, the director has once again started nurturing the thought to work with the actress; Paired with Aishwarya will be none other than Hrithik Roshan. Vishal, Ash and Hrithik indeed will make for a terrific combination. But what’s the script about?
As per sources, after adapting two Shakespeare dramas, Vishal wants to complete his trilogy with the Bollywood version of Hamlet. He apparently wants Hrithik to play the character of Prince Hamlet Of Denmark, and Aishwarya his ladylove Ophelia.
Vishal’s previous Shakespeare adaptations Maqbool and Omkara received rave reviews and are considered to be his best work. Always known to work with talented actors and actresses, the director has approached both the stars with the Hamlet idea. Will they give their nod?

Hrithik Roshan now recuperated and discharged from hospital
Hrithik Roshan now recuperated and discharged from hospital: Hrithik Roshan was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on Sunday after an allergic reaction. The star has now recuperated and has been discharged.
The 36-year-old star had a serious health scare on Sunday when suddenly after taking an antibiotic his lungs choked, throat went into a spasm, lips swelled to seven times their natural size and rashes appeared on the skin.
Taking no chances, the actor rushed to Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai where he was immediately put under medical observation.
On Sunday, just before noon, the doctors allowed Hrithik to go home, with the instruction to not stress himself for a few days.
Hrithik’s wife Sussanne is finally heaving a sigh of relief.
“By the grace of god my Hrithik is much much better... Most random one in a million allergic reaction!,” she wrote on her Twitter page.

After Hrithik, Shahrukh Khan will become a next superhero?
After Hrithik, Shahrukh Khan will become a next superhero?: The Bollywood Hunk Hrithik Roshan is one of industry’s finest talent and has great versatility to augur well with his hunky and Grecian body. In fact, Hrithik was the one who gave Bollywood its first major super hero in the form of ‘Krishh’.
Though, in the past, films like ‘Ajooba’ and ‘Mr. India’ have shown veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor in the light of a superhero, they couldn’t capitalize on it due to the absence of any continuing franchisee.
Hrithik was, therefore, regarded as Bollywood’s first big superhero with extra special talents. However, now all that may change as the King Khan SRK is getting ready to flex his muscles and show his super heroic skills.
Shahrukh Khan’s next film ‘Ra. One’ has been in the news for quite some time. It is special coz not only shall it end the SRK-free dry spell at box office but also mark the Badshah’s foray into this genre.
And we all know that SRK gives it his best everytime he takes up something with intense zeal. ‘Ra. One’ has some association with videogame and SRK’s character shall have the power to solidity electricity which is intriguing.
Though not much is known about the exact nature of his character, SRK may well be the next big superhero. But will he surpass Hrithik’s Krishh? We shall soon know….

The movie was set for release in both countries on November 19 but Pakistani cinema owners began screening it earlier to coincide with Id celebrated on November 17.
The film was initially set for release on November 12 but was delayed by a week. Exhibitors in Pakistan, who had already obtained prints of the film, decided to release it on Id.

Box Office Report: 'Guzaarish' unexpected slow opening!
Box Office Report: 'Guzaarish' unexpected slow opening!: In the festive season when madcap comedies are all the rage, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s dark and broody film Guzaarish wasn’t expected to get a great opening anyway.
The film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, had an average, or even below average opening at many multiplexes in major cities. But as the rave reviews began to come in from critics, and the positive word of mouth from the viewers began to spread around, the film picked up in the evening shows.
Multiplexes in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune saw greater footfalls in the evening. The collection is likely to go up further on Saturday and Sunday.
Given the fact that the film has no major competition at box office except from Golmaal 3 which released two weeks back, Guzaarish is expected to do a decent business in its first week.
We will provide you the box office collections of the film soon. Keep watching this space.

Hrithik Roshan met a lot of paraplegics and quadriplegics of 'Guzaarish'
Hrithik Roshan met a lot of paraplegics and quadriplegics of 'Guzaarish': The story of a quadriplegic who brims with optimism but ultimately turns suicidal moved Hrithik Roshan to tears.
When director Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached Hrithik to play a magician who’s bound to his wheelchair after a near fatal accident in his film Guzaarish, the actor had his doubts. Not that he doubted Bhansali’s ability, but Hrithik doubted his own mettle to play the role with full conviction.
“I was skeptical about the role because I was evolved enough as an actor and was apprehensive whether I'd be able to translate his creative genius onscreen. But when Mr Bhansali narrated the script, he had me crying and laughing at the same time and I couldn't wait to start working,” Hrithik said about bagging the role in the film which releases today.
In order to prepare for his role, Hrithik actually met a lot of paraplegics and quadriplegics.
“Meeting those people who have survived and found happiness against all odds was most inspiring to me,” Hrithik said.

Guzaarish Movie Review on Bollywood3000
Guzaarish Movie Review on Bollywood3000: Savagely aesthetic, at times magical, at times pretentiously arty, and generously littered with melodrama that tugs at your heart one moment and cloys your senses the next, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest creation Guzaarish is a movie not to be missed for its visual splendour and a jaw dropping performance by Hrithik Roshan.
The aesthete and auteur in Bhansali levitates to a new high in this genre-defying piece of cinema that is clearly inspired by more than one foreign film, not excluding the Oscar-winning Spanish film The Sea Inside and Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige. But credit to Bhansali, who, for all the inspiration, still makes Guzaarish his own with his peculiar brand of theatricality (for which he’s often bum-rapped), uncompromising approach and a lot of heart and soul, not to forget the poignant tunes which he himself has composed.
The film tells the story of Ethan Mascarenhas (Hrithik), a bed-ridden, wheelchair-bound quadriplegic who used to be a magician once but has spent the last 14 years of his life as a breathing vegetable confined within the musty walls of a run-down villa somewhere in the rain-soaked Goa. Sophia, (Aishwarya Rai) his nurse for 12 years, bathes him, feeds him, brushes his teeth, scratches his nose when he’s itchy, and also bears his tantrums. Ethan’s only connect with the outside world is his radio show ‘Hello Zindagi’ which he jockeys.
Ironically, the man who tells others to embrace life seeks to end his own. He fights a legal case to be allowed euthanasia, or mercy killing, to end his long suffering. Ironically again, the people who stand beside him willy-nilly in this struggle are the ones who love him the most - his lawyer friend Devyani (Shernaz Patel), his doctor (Suhel Seth), his apprentice (Aditya Roy Kapoor), his mother (Nafisa Ali), his former lover and assistant (Monikangana Dutta) and, last but not the least, Sophia, whom Ethan regards as “more than a friend, lover and even wife”.
But the question is - will the court go against the constitution and grant Ethan his wish, his guzaarish?
Viewers may use a little psyching up before sauntering into a screening of Guzaarish. Bhansali’s fascination for dark colour tones isn’t unknown since his award-sweeping Black and the blue-shaded Saawariya which was an absolute clunker. Guzaarish, with excellent cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, carries forward Bhansali’s penchant with the nocturnal hues. The story unspools at a sluggish pace and often streams into tear-jerking episodes and flashbacks as the protagonist’s life as a magician extraordinaire is etched out.
For the most part, Bhansali retains a firm control over the narrative, but seems to go overboard in a few sequences, like the courtroom arguments and the group hug in the climax which turns out to be unintentionally comic. These warts are all but compensated for by the awesomely shot magic sequences.
More than the director, it’s Hrithik Roshan who steals the show with his humdinger of a performance. Solely through his facial expressions, eyes, and voice modulations, Hrithik brings to life the character of a self-mocking, life-embracing, death-seeking character who’s exuberant one moment and depressed the next. It would be pity if Hrithik doesn’t sweep the best actor trophies in the award season early next year. Aishwarya Rai, looking stunning in low-neck costumes that are no doubt incongruous with her character of a nurse, is in form once again. Shernaz Patel goes overboard in a few scenes and so does Suhel Seth. Aditya Roy Kapoor, the guy with a frizzy mop on his head, performs well. Monikangana is there for only two scenes.
Summing it up, Guzaarish, despite its warts, could be the best film of 2010. More than its awesome visuals, it’s the message of the film that wins you over. In pursuing his own death, the film’s hero teaches us a few things about life itself: “live fully, forgive quickly and kiss slowly”. It is Bhansali’s toast to life. Grab it. Lip it. Neck it. Be drunk with it.

Hrithik Roshan's 'Guzaarish' is dark, intense and tragic Movie
Hrithik Roshan's 'Guzaarish' is dark, intense and tragic Movie: From playing a superhero or a charming swindler, it was quite a leap for Hrithik Roshan to land himself in a wheelchair and play a quadriplegic for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest film Guzaarish.
In the movie, Hrithik plays Ethan, a magician who is paralyzed neck down after one of his magic tricks goes horribly wrong. Aishwarya Rai plays Sophia, the nurse who develops feelings for him. The movie is a far cry from the light-hearted, slapstick fare that Bollywood keeps churning with mechanical regularity.
“Guzaarish is dark, intense with a tragic story but it is magical as it makes people smile. Ethan is the happiest character I have ever played and he puts a smile on everyone's face,” Hrithik told the reporters while promoting the film in Delhi. Hrithik also dismissed the notion that the film is a copy of the Spanish movie ‘The Sea Inside’, starring Javier Bardem.
“I had seen that Spanish movie before I read the script of Guzaarish. And for the last time, there is nothing similar between the two except for the fact that they are both based on quadriplegia,” Hrithik clarified.
When asked about his co-star Aishwarya Rai with whom he has worked in three films, Hrithik said he and Ash share a ‘perfect’ equation.
“Ten years ago, we gave our first shot together for a cold drink commercial. Our equation has been perfect ever since. Our approach to work is similar. It's great to work with a friend and there are no ego issues between us,” said the 36-year-old actor.
Talking about Bhansali, Hrithik said he enjoyed tremendous creative freedom while working with the director.
“While working with Bhansali, the kind of creative freedom I have enjoyed as an actor, I have never enjoyed in my life. He just let me fly. There were times when we used to come on sets and I used to have some thoughts in mind to add to the scene. But we used to communicate at such a level that we never sat and discussed it together,” Hrithik said.
Guzaarish is set to release on Friday, November 19.

Anxious and Excited Hrithik Roshan for 'Guzaarish' release
Anxious and Excited Hrithik Roshan for 'Guzaarish' release: The film, slated for worldwide release on November 19, released in Dubai on November 16. Prior to its release, Hrithik is anxious as to how the viewers will respond to his portrayal of a magician who, after an accident, is confined to his wheelchair.
“Today Guzaarish release begins with the middle east! Anxious and excited. Sending you all my love! Hope you enjoy it. :),” Hrithik tweeted on Tuesday.
The movie stars Aishwarya Rai as a nurse and Monikangana Dutta as Hrithik’s former love interest. It’s directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Guzaarish is like a sorround sound of 'Romeo and Juliet'
Guzaarish is like a sorround sound of 'Romeo and Juliet': To enhance the on-screen chemistry between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to include material from Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 classic screen adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" in his forthcoming film "Guzaarish".
Zeffirelli's cult blockbuster had catapulted Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting to instant stardom and made Shakespeare's tragic romance a worldwide bestseller. Bhansali decided to incorporate original dialogues from Zeffirelli's film, forcing his efficient but flabbergasted team - many of whom had never heard of Shakespeare, let alone Zeffirelli - into a worldwide hunt for the material.
Producers UTV suggested that searching out and acquiring rights for the original Shakespearean dialogues in the voice of Olivia and Leonard at this late stage when "Guzaarish" was approaching release could prove to be tough.
But Bhansali was adamant. And with reason.
Explains the perfectionist director: "I wanted a correctly intense reference point for Hrithik and Aishwarya's feelings and conversations. I though the sentiment of thwarted passion and smothered intensity of star-crossed lovers in 'Romeo and Juliet' expressed my protagonists' inexpressible feelings very well.
"So yes I've included dialogues from Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet in my film."
But why Zeffirelli, whose "Romeo and Juliet" came 41 years ago, when those Shakepearean lines have been done a million times since then?
Says Bhansali: "To me Zeffirelli's version of 'Romeo and Juliet' is the ultimate tribute to Shakespeare's love story. So many times I've wanted to do my own version of 'Romeo and Juliet'. But one look at Zeffirelli's film makes me feel I can never equal his beauty, grandeur, harmony and principal casting. Where I'll find as perfect a Romeo and a Juliet as Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey?"
Was it easy getting permission to use material from Zeffirelli's film?
"Not really. We had to seek out people who were either long gone or in retirement. But I was adamant. This was my only chance to pay a homage to one of my all-time favourite screen romances," said Bhansali

Hrithik Roshan keeping his perfection intact in 'Guzaarish'
Hrithik Roshan keeping his perfection intact in 'Guzaarish' Hrithik Roshan has proved himself time and again with his sheer dedication to all his characters that he has played on-screen till date. He is definitely a star by carving a niche for himself with each of his films and portraying his character with a perfect ‘T’.
Right from his debut film Kaho Na Pyar Hai to Lakshya and Krissh, he has proved his mettle as being one thoroughbred performer. So has he done with his upcoming release. Keeping his perfection intact in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish, Hrithik Roshan has slogged day and night to fit into the character of the magician that he plays in the film.
He actually ceased all his physical exercises and gym sessions for a couple of months at a stretch before shooting started. Well, you must be guessing that that why would health conscious man like Hrithik Roshan do that for? The answer to it is that since he plays the role of a magician in the film, who suddenly develops a disease and gets paralyzed, he was supposed to look the character by putting on a lot of weight.
This was definitely not an easy task for him. Hrithik who is admired for his toned physique has actually put in a lot of efforts to gain weight for the film. Amusingly the star had to eat and drink everything that a top rated star is not expected to eat like vada pau (fried cutlet and bread), samosa etc for months together.
However, this was a treat for him as he got a chance to relish all these foods to his hearts content as he must not have tasted them for years despite loving them so much. This role of a paraplegic gave him an excuse to just gorge on every bit of food that he could lay his hands on. Thus we get to see a plump Hrithik in the film.
The movie releases on the 19th of November.

Love Making Scene between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in 'Guzaarish'
Love Making Scene between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in 'Guzaarish': Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan indulged in the passion play of an altogether different kind while shooting for a scene in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Guzaarish. Since Hrithik plays a paraplegic who can’t feel a thing below his neck, a typical lovemaking scene between him and his nurse, played by Aishwarya, was clearly out of question.
What director Bhansali incorporated rather was a mock lovemaking scene, in which Ash gives a massage to Hrithik’s foot to ensure proper circulation of blood. That’s when Hrithik begins to feign the moans and sighs of sexual ecstasy. Ash too takes the cue and makes lovemaking noises - the oohs! and aahs! - in the scene.
In this way, the couple pretend having sex while not being physical at all.
According to Bhansali, the scene is funny rather than titillating.

Hrithik for a cameo in SRK's Don 2
Hrithik for a cameo in SRK's Don 2: While alongside Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan may be sniffing butterflies in the stomach for the upcoming magnum opus ‘Guzaarish’, the grapevine has it that he is also shooting for a cameo in Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Don 2’.
That is precisely why he is currently stationed in the German capital of Berlin. It was being speculated that he is there to celebrate SRK’s birthday which falls on 2nd November. But looks like the real reason is being kept a secretive affair!
Don 2 is directed by Farhan Akhtar and is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani. Hrithik is buddies with both having worked in their ‘Lakshya’. Besides, Hrithik is also doing Farhan’s sis Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ which also stars the vivacious Katrina Kaif. Hence, it is understandable that when Farhan requested Hrithik for a cameo in Don 2, he couldn’t refuse.
And it is apparently a great ploy to bring the SRK-Hrithik duo on screen again after they brewed great riveting chemistry in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. Besides, since Don 2 is replete with daredevil scenes, it would be interesting to see if the hunky Hrithik gives SRK a run for his money.

Guzaarish song promo 'Tera Zikr'
Guzaarish song promo 'Tera Zikr': Sanjay Leela Bhansali has got an eye for beauty; we admit that one of India’s top ramp models Monikangana Dutta was the perfect choice to cast opposite Hrithik Roshan. The film Guzaarish is not only about Aishwarya Rai; the movie’s canvas has also this Assamese girl, who has created waves with her oriental charm on several fashion weeks in India and abroad, looking beautiful like never before.
However, the girl was in hiding. We guess Sanjay wanted to keep her as a surprise. But the new song Tera Zikr from the film which has started doing the rounds has Moni with Hrithik. The model plays Hrithik’s love interest in the movie and in this song is shown as his assistant who helps him do the magic tricks on stage.
The two are just screen-perfect, ethereal and enticing. Catch the promo of the song and tell us what you feel about the couple.

Aishwarya Rai to do hot passionate scene with Hrithik Roshan!
Aishwarya Rai to do hot passionate scene with Hrithik Roshan!: Aishwarya Rai had made a vow never to do intimate scenes with her co-stars (other than Abhishek Bachchan obviously) after her marriage. But she’s reported to have broken that vow.
Ash has reportedly done a hot passionate scene with Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming film Guzaarish, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. We hear that it was Bhansali who convinced Ash for the scene as it is very paramount to the script.
In the scene, a handicapped Hrithik gets intimate with Ash and she moans passionately. The scene was shot in the presence of minimal crew. Moreover, Hrithik and Ash were not uncomfortable getting intimate before the camera as they have in the past shot a sizzling smooch for Dhoom 2.
However, it’s not clear if the scene will indeed be retained in the film’s final print. Bhansali will take a call before the film’s release on November 19.

Hrithik Roshan in depression!
Hrithik Roshan in depression!: Hrithik Roshan is eagerly looking forward to his next release 'Guzaarish' with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. While talking about the film, he takes awhile to ponder and then reveal that he can completely relate to his character in the film.
The actor can relate his character to the time when he was nursing a knee pain and was on wheelchair for more than six months. He had given up hopes of acting and dancing ever again...
Recalling that phase as one of the learning experience, Hrithik informs that he was in depression for six moths when his knee surgery failed to cure his pain. "After Jodhaa Akbar I was treating my knee for six months. I did a lot of things to cure it. I did Chinese therapy, ayurvedic treatments, visited more than 35 to 40 specialists and tried local massage too but nothing helped. I was in depression for six months.
"I did a lot of things during that time. What I didn't think of during that time was acting and dancing. I was completely disheartened and thought of giving up acting for good. It was then that Sanjay Leela Bhansali came to me with the script. I did not think twice before accepting it as I felt it would be my last film," he reminisces.
Hrithik informs that playing a paraplegic wasn't easy but it definitely boosted his confidence. "I interacted with a lot of paraplegic patients before taking up the film. Before that I used to be irritable and edgy but they taught me to live. My character of a paraplegic touched my heart," he concludes
